I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
