Intensive Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Russian forces has escalated strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Local officials said the metropolitan region experienced significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the area, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the country's energy grid, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
