19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his first trophy for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in especial - resulted in him falling of the top ten and eventually splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's maiden championship since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard court since spring of the previous year.
Victory also means Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my both daughters together, so to secure a championship is particularly special," said tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, comprising in that event previously this season.
His defensive play style and regular reactions on the tennis court had prompted some to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
However the player has altered his approach in the past month, striving to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, winning four of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the second set before the challenger, striving for his maiden tour victory, gained dominance to push for a final set.
The opponent defended 4 early chances in a tight third set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched victory with a point at the net, with the Frenchman failing to control a shot after a lengthy match.
